Rejoice
In Philippians 4:4 the Bible says to "Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say rejoice." In the dictionary, rejoice means to feel or show great joy or delight. Sometimes circumstances in life make it hard to rejoice. When difficulties are consuming our lives, we forget to see the good that can happen in our life. Inspite of our circumstances, God wants us to rejoice.
In Psalm 118:24, the Bible says to "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Each new day brings blessings in our lives. As we turn our eyes to Jesus we can be glad and rejoice. He is the giver of life and works in ways we don't understand. He can take what is bad in our lives and work it for our good.
How do we rejoice in the Lord? We can find joy and delight in our relationship with God. We can focus on His goodness, love, and faithfulness. Hebrews 13:5 says "He will never leave us or forsake us." Spending time in prayer, Bible study and worship helps us to find great delight in the Lord.
Choose today to rejoice in the Lord. Spend time with Him and let Him change your life!
